Job Vacancy: Seasonal Gardener

Responsibilities:

• Planting, watering, pruning, and maintaining flowers, shrubs, and trees in assigned garden areas.

• Ensuring the overall health and vitality of plants through regular fertilising, mulching, and pest control.

• Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment.

• Assisting with the design and layout of garden beds and landscape features.

• Monitoring and addressing issues such as weeds, diseases, and plant pests.

• Seasonal planting and maintenance of vegetable gardens and herbaceous borders.

• Collaborating with the gardening team to plan and execute special events and displays.

• Maintaining clean and organised work areas.

• Providing excellent customer service by answering questions and engaging with customers.
   

Required Work Experience, Skills, or Education:

• Previous experience in gardening, horticulture, or a related field is preferred.

• Solid knowledge of plants, their care requirements, and common gardening techniques.

• Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of gardening tools and equipment.

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.

• Basic knowledge of sustainable and organic gardening practices is a plus.

• High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
   

It is a must that you have a clean drivers license.

Working Hours: This is a seasonal position with flexible working hours. Weekend and holiday availability may be required, as gardening often involves peak periods during spring and summer.

Job Type: Temporary contract

Contract length: 6 months

Salary: £11.00-£15.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
